Moses (Exodus 4:2) had a staff in his hand. While a staff has several uses in the hands of a shepherd or desert traveler, it's utility list in Moses mind was probably not as long as it turned out to be - after that desert encounter with God. He certainly did not realize that the staff could become a mighty instrument when yielded to God and used creatively. What was ordinary and limited in its use - was transformed after a revealing encounter.
“Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.” Les Brown
Too often, we like Moses we do not fully appreciate, develop and use the fullness of what is in our hand. We have experiences, resources and time that are of great value - when esteemed and used appropriately.
Redefine your currency and ability: What do you have in your hand or what's inside you waiting to be released? Its time to think creatively and take off the limits.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
